This course introduces learners to the rice and cereal sector, aiming to provide information and awareness raising to learners. The relevant data was gathered and synthesized  in cooperation with the member countries.

Firstly, a mapping on cereal and rice primary production in Greece, Spain and Cyprus is provided. In particular, data related with the types of cultivation, lands’ distribution, quantities, sources and uses of products, trade of products, and logistics are presented.

Then, a literature review of green supply chain management (GSCM) and analysis of all the sub-categories that constitute the GSCM is presented.

Finally, this course presents best practices via case study analysis in the agri-food industry.

NOTE: This particular course is excluded from the list of courses in which learners need to be evaluated for receiving the certificate of attendance.
